Total hardness significantly influences the osmotic balance of aquarium inhabitants. Water hardness tailored to the specific animals thus creates the foundation for vitality, well-being, and long-term stability in the aquarium.
For many aquariums, a ratio of approximately 2/3 total hardness (dGH) to 1/3 carbonate hardness (dKH) provides a suitable starting point. However, optimal water parameters should always be adapted to the natural living conditions and individual needs of the species being kept.
Precise dosing
2.5 g of Silbermann dGH+ per 100 liters of water increases the total hardness by approximately 1 °dGH.
This allows you to adjust the water hardness precisely and consistently to the desired value.
For optimal water treatment, we recommend:
Determine the initial water parameters and target values.
Weigh out the required amount of Silbermann dGH+ precisely.
Completely dissolve the salt in water.
Add the finished solution or the treated water to the aquarium.
Then check the water parameters.
Important: Measure water parameters before use and always adjust the dosage to the actual initial value.
Overdosing or adding the product too quickly or directly into the aquarium may cause temporary cloudiness. We therefore recommend dissolving the product completely and dosing it in a controlled manner.
For consistently stable water parameters
Silbermann dGH+ is particularly suitable for the remineralization of reverse osmosis water and wherever total hardness needs to be adjusted in a targeted and reproducible manner.
This transforms nearly mineral-free source water into a water base precisely tailored to the requirements of the respective aquarium.
Storage
Silbermann dGH+ is highly hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the environment. This can alter the product’s properties.
Therefore, immediately reseal the package tightly after use and store the product in a dry place, protected from moisture.
